Kentucky Arrowhead Dangles (Artifact Pendant)
“Do you ever meet someone and just know that you are going to do great things together? When Theresa showed up at the dock a few years ago in February with 59* water, let me layer her up in wetsuits, and not only didn’t complain, but found a pure beauty of a mammoth tooth, I knew we were going to be fast friends and so did she.
Fast forward a few years and we have the Diver meets Jeweler Collection which is a collaboration between Meg Goddess Designs and metalsmith extraordinaire Theresa Applegate Jewelry.”
After bonding over our love of searching for millions of year old fossilized goodies on the bottom of the sea floor, Theresa shared another of her favorite pastimes with me: artifact hunting. On my first trip up to Indiana, she and my good friend ‘Dental Dan Reynolds’ took me on my first real outing to look for artifacts along the banks of the Ohio River. At the very end of the day, it happened! I found my very first authentic arrowhead- a Mississippian Triangle dating back to approximately 1000-1400 years ago!
This pendant is molded and cast in sold sterling silver from the real thing.
