Ever dreamed of creating your very own ocean-inspired pendant in sterling silver!? Here’s your chance: Sept 5, 5:30-8:30pm!
This class is a hands-on experience that will teach you to fabricate and finish a made-by-you piece to bring home fresh out of the tumbler.
Skills learned will include:
Cleaning up a rough casting
Retexturing
Making a jump ring
Sawing tubing
Soldering
Cleaning up solder seams
Hallmarking
Polishing/tumble finishing
Finishing a chain to length
This class is taught by Metalsmith extraordinaire Theresa Applegate (www.theresaapplegatejewelry.com) who got her Bachelors in Metals and Jewelry at The Savannah College of Art & Design, did her graduate studies in Art Education at the University of Louisville, and has been an educator for over 15 years.
Class is limited to 6 students to maximize one-on-one instruction.
Class cost includes all tools and materials to create a finished pendant on a basic chain to take home. Chain upgrades are available at varying costs - just send us a message if you have any chain questions!
